Quadratus is a four-legged robot with 8 degrees of freedom.
The robot Quadratus is the result of a combination of high quality electronic and mechanical components put together
to form a really beautiful piece of technology.
The brain of Quadratus is the Arduino Uno Rev3 with the Atmega328P microcontroller.
This little board fits perfectly with the Arduino and allows the robot to control up to 12 servos.
We designed our own Printed Circuit Board which allows us to power the servos and the sensors.
Quadratus is a walking robot. So we needed some servos. We got the best ones.
The robot needs to see what there is in front of him. So we gave him eyes using the VL6180 infrared sensor.
We are using a magnetometer to know the orientation of the robot on the field.
This allows the robot to move with precision.
